LIBERTY SOCKS....
Well, I just had to pop in, although very briefly, to show this loveliest little sock that is just hot off the needles. My knitting time still seems to much reduced at present, but I am ever hopeful that more knitting hours will begin to appear in my days! ;-)
This delightful little number is made using Regia Pairfect yarn colourway 09138. I spotted the yarn along with a display sock in Liberty's back before Christmas and just knew I had to have it. I just love how the yarn works so perfectly, producing the solid colour cuff, heel and toe. The second of the pair is already underway and I may even have a pair by this time next week, as long as the knitting gods are on my side. Wish me luck! :-)
I had to do a bit of google research to discover how that works. Such a good idea and the end result is lovely. Currently I keep all my mismatched pairs for myself I'm not OCD about them being perfect but do like a decent set for gifting.
ReplyDeleteThis sock is awesome! Someday, I will managed to knit myself a pair of socks. I mostly focus on sewing, and I am slow at knitting, but I do enjoy it
ReplyDeleteThe yarn itself does the colour blocking, not a separate solid? OK, that is pretty cool! Great colourway as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sock, wishing you lots of knitting time. Xx
ReplyDeleteJust catching up after a long absence, hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you a very happy, healthy and peaceful new year xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sock! I just love the yarn!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great. I hadn't realised that the yarn was dyed to give a solid cuff, heel and toe. I wonder how it works out for bigger feet? Have a good week, we must try and get together soon. xx
ReplyDeleteHappy New year Roz! Ooooo...this is lovely socking knitting--that yarn is just splendid...like the colors of winter snowflakes! :))) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteNice socks. I like the deep rib. I think I make mine too small and then they go baggy too quickly. Great post. Jo x
