......IT'S ALL ABOUT RIPPLES AND SQUARES!

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Guess what! It's done! Hooray! I could have kept on going and going and going and going. I love it! Let's hope our little grandaughter will love it too! Rippling is just the most relaxing thing ever. Add the excitement of colour changes and it's almost perfect! The finished blanket is quite big and hopefully will last her for many years to come. It can be a cot blanket, a 'brighten up your bed' blanket or just a lovely snuggly 'curl up on the sofa' blanket. I wonder what it WILL become?  I've still got some yarn left, so I may start another or I may make cushions. Can't quite decide. Have a look.......

Here's my favourite colour slice .....

AND some yarn left!

The sun came out to play this afternoon, which was most welcome after the previous twenty-four hours of rain. The bluebells.....and whitebells.... appreciated it's warmth too...

.... and so did Oscar, who spent the afternoon 'chilling'!

I started the second 'Rainbow Sock'. I have to admit, it was good to get back onto the 2.5's again. I had a slight mishap though. I'd done completed the rib and about the first inch of pattern, when it suddenly dawned on me that I was knitting the wrong pattern!!!!! Good job I noticed before I had gone very much further, or I would NOT have been a very happy bunny. All was well though. I soon ripped back and put the wrong pattern safely away out of sight..... just in case! Must have been the effect of the rare sunshine on Snoopydog's grey matter :)

Oh! I must just show you a little purchase I made recently, that I can't take my eyes off. I spotted this jacket online, weeks ago and eventually decided that I couldn't live without it. It's from Orvis and I just love the pretty, cotton patchwork. The colours are just gorgeous!

It's still hanging in the bedroom, because I don't want to shut all those pretty squares just yet!!! I NEED colour!

Here's hoping everyone has a fun-filled, colourful week!!!!! Enjoy!

We have had grey skies again today, and you would think it would have encouraged me to get more than just three reports done. Oh well!

Wonderful job on the ripple. I love all your colors. So... what have you named it?...te-he....

Now, about that jacket. You know I want one so badly. I'm heading over to Orvis right now. At least we live in different neighborhoods so we won't be seen together. It's so me.

Finally, about all that left over yarn. I've been working away on the border this evening. Hope to have S in Hue up tomorrow or Tuesday. It's turning out so fun. Nice break from rippling, but I'm going back to one on my next project. Have a big Grab Bag of yarn arriving from www.yarn.com, so who know what colors I will be working with.

Hope you Mother's Day weekend was special.

Great projects - love all the colour!! Isn't it fun to muse on where the blanket may go and what it may hear on its journey with your grandchild?

I have bluebells right now as well, but no wonderful whitebells, wow!

WOW, Ros... the ripple blanket is GORGEOUS! It really turned out terrific. I love all the colors--so fruity & delicious! My autumn project is to learn the ripple at last... LOL! Beautiful patchwork-like jacket--that is fun. And wonderful to see sweet, Oscar... Hope you had a great weekend :o) ((HUGS))

Love the finished ripples... each a delicate reflection of a beautiful rainbow.
Socks are not my forte but I do love and admire those that are mastered by their knitter.
Oscar seems to enjoy his belly rub.

I hope you are having a good weekend too Ros! I am jealous of your report status. I am 19 down and 21 to go! I have done none today as I have been madly tidying and cleaning in case I am visited by a blogging friend from America next week. My flat is very clean and tidy now so I can relax and enjoy the report writing tomorrow(ha ha!)
It will soon be half term-hurrah!
