HALF-TERM HAPPINESS.......
Look at this scrumptious, delicious, totally gorgeous yarn! It's Fleece Artist Nyoni and is a whopping 250g skein. It was my swap gift from Cathy in the Knitspot Fall in Full Colour club swap. I also received a yummy chocolate bar, made in Manhattan and a very pretty little silk bag, suitable for a small project.
It's been so much fun joining in with this swap and getting to know Cathy. I now have to get started on an Anne Hanson project. I seem to have spent a lot of time this week chopping and changing, but I think I have finally decided on the 'Boxleaf Triangle' in the large size, to make the most of the 250g skein. I think the yarn will show of the pattern beautifully.
I've also picked up another pair of unfinished socks to try and make some progress with this half-term. I've just managed to turn the heel on the first one. Not great progress, but at least they have been brought to life again. Hopefully, they will become another completed project by this time next week.
The garden has lots all it's beautiful Spring colour, but we do have roses that have just come into bloom this week. They have never been one of my favourite flowers, but they do add a lovely burst of colour to the garden.
Do you know....... it's so good to be sitting here, talking to you on a Sunday evening and knowing that I DON'T have to go to school tomorrow!!!!! We have been visited this weekend by our eldest daughter and her fiance. It's always lovely to have family members staying and makes us have a little more 'get up and go' to actually make an effort to do things. We are always so tired during the working week. So, we have made the most of their company and been out and about. Hopefully, I will be doing more of the same this week.......... oh, and finishing my reports!!!!
Have a good week and thank you so much for calling in to see me. I always look forward to your visits!

Socks looking good and that massive skein of yarn is gorgeous. Not having to go to work next day makes Sunday so much better, I well remember that feeling. Have a lovely week with plenty of time for everything you enjoy.
You always have such wonderful bursts of colour in your posts!
Enjoy your half-term.
What a gorgeous shawl! Love the roses too!
Hi, Ros! Lovely to be back and catching up with you here after our travels. I missed my weekly dose of wool and goodies here while away! That yarn you've chosen for a new shawl is wonderful--love the soft, heathery grayness. After being away from my studio for two weeks, I'm itching to dig into some creativity now... and yarn! I think we'll need the weekend to get over the jet lag and get back on track first, though. ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
Enjoy your break. hope the weather is nice for you.
Just catching up with all I've missed while I was on hols. Love your Spriteling. What a great job you have done on it. You should be very proud.
Cheers
Helen
