BUSY, BUSY, BUSY......

Just popped in this evening. Can't stay long though! Busy, busy, busy! Just wanted to show you this quick little jumper that I've made for Sophie this week. It's taken no time at all, as it's knitted on size 6mm needles. I've used two skeins of Colinette Prism, which is a bulky weight yarn. I've had it in my stash for two or three years now, as it was not quite the colour I expected it to be. It's been sitting patiently, biding its time, just waiting for that perfect project. This will be a fun, play jumper!

Sorry, but I really do have to go very, very soon. However, I have a couple more photos to show you.
Earlier in the week, a little ginger and white had taken up residence in the entrance hall at school. I guess it was much warmer inside than out. I grabbed my camera as he had fallen asleep in the sun, on top of the wooden urban fox whos sleeps quietly in his willow den. I thought I'd show you the art piece.

It was designed and made by our Year 4 children last year, with the help of a local artist, in liaison with on e of our feeder high schools. We are a city centre school and do see urban foxes in the school grounds from time to time. Needless to say, the little cat had awoken and jumped off by the time I returned with my camera.

This wonderful elephant also lives in our entrance hall. It was part of a city elephant trail a few years ago and the elephants were then auctioned off for charity. The children love her!!

I've been so, so busy this week, rehearsing for the Christmas concert and getting assessment data and planning sorted. Not so busy that I couldn't spare a few seconds yesterday to snap this beautiful blue sky......

..... and later......

Well, I have to go, as much as I'd like to stay and chat. I'll be back next week though...... on HOLIDAY! YAY!

Have a great week!

The elephant is wonderful ... we have a penguin in our foyer, part of a similar project I think. There were penguins all round the city a few years ago.
Not long to go now .... have a good week!

All the art at your school is amazing, Ros! Just love the colors of the elephant. The elephant is one of my spirit animals, so I do gravitate toward this one. ;o) Your school sounds a great place to be. Hope all goes well these last days before the Christmas holidays. That jumper for Sophie is sooo SWEET! The color way of the wool is very happy. We're off the of this week to travel to my family in the USA for Christmas holidays and be away two weeks. Wishing you & yours the loveliest Christmas and all the best in 2012... See you in the New Year, and look forward to another creative year in blogland with you. :o) ((HUGS))

Beautiful photos! I love the artwork and the elephant, we had a similar thing in Hull last year but it was toads to celebrate the poet Philip Larkin (who wasn't from Hull but taught at the University here), he was a rather dreary poet in my opinion but the toads were fun.

Hi Ros! Wow how sweet pullover - I want that! As you can guess I don't have children to make that.
I'm sorry to hear that you are so busy. I hope you start soon your Christmas holidays!
Hugs to Oscar!
