BLANKET OVERLOAD.....

There was so much yarn left over from the 'Granny Stripe Blanket' and I had promised Sophie a pretty blanket to wrap her dolls in. So, here we are again; Granny Stripe hooky in miniature!!! Hopefully, this little lovely won't take so very long, as I stupidly cast on yet another blankie this afternoon.

This one is an Attic 24 'Neat Ripple'  design and I'm hoping it will  be a quick and easy cot blanket for Sophie's little sister to be. I bought the yarn several weeks ago in our local John Lewis. I was drawn to the softness of he yarn, which is pure extra fine merino and also the pretty colourways available. It's the Italian Millamia yarn, which I hadn't noticed before in the store. It's just perfect for baby garments!  I deliberated over colour choices, but am happy with my final decision. It won't matter if it isn't finished in time, but I'll be giving it my best shot.

So, two more blankies on the go. I know, rather a large challenge to complete both by the end of the month. Pop back next week to se how well the hook has been flying!

You've certainly got the blanket bug, its very snowy here today so it would be nice to be producing something so cosy. I need to learn to crochet first of course. Those new colours are perfect, get hooking.

The granny strips is LOVELY, Ros! And such fun you're starting at ripple. Oh, and I'm rippling along too! Yes, FINALLY started that ripple blanket myself. I posted about it today. Just now surfacing after 2 weeks+ I've been down with flu & migraines--slowly mending. Fist chance I've had to post and visit friends. Happy Days, Ros ((HUGS))
