BLOWING THE COBWEBS AWAY......

Our lovely youngest daughter came home for the weekend.... squeal, squeal! We hadn't met up since Pickering in the Summer and that's way, way too long for this Mumsy! She lives and works in London and has a very demanding job and not a great deal of time to herself, so when we can get together it's always just lovely. The same is true of our other two children and their families. They both live quite a journey away. It always means that time together is extra special and I'm happy with that.

We made the most of a warm, although overcast, day yesterday and headed for our favourite bit of coastline once again. As you can tell, it's also Oscar's favourite bit of 'heaven here on earth' too.

A meal at the delightful 'Baby Buddha' in the evening followed by a quick listen to our 'boy' playing live on Radio 3 and a glass or two of red wine, made a lovely end to a lovely day.

Today we have lazed and our youngest has cooked..... butternut squash soup for lunch and then a delicious carrot cake, whilst Mr Snoops created a roast dinner this evening for her return train journey back to London. I LOVE them all so, so much! Have a great week lovely girl!

Every moment we can spend with our children that live far away is priceless.
My only daughter lives 2000 miles away in Calgary Alberta having moved there for work during the recession four years ago. She loves it so much she stayed...
Oscar had certainly enjoyed himself.
Have a great week Ros.

What a lovely post!
Our daughter was home for the weekend too. She has a very busy life in Newcastle.
I know exactly how you feel.
Oscar has had lots of fun too, by the looks of things!

I had to look up naturism, just to make sure I was understanding that sign! I'm sure that your children and their families enjoy and look forward to seeing you as much as you do them! My family is only 2 hours away, and even that is difficult at times and I really treasure the times that we are all able to be together.
