A LITTLE SOMETHING......

Hello there! I'm so sorry to have missed you last week..... again! You know why...... school! I suspect things will only get worse over the next few weeks, as we head towards the Big C! I certainly haven't been totally neglecting my woolly duties, although I haven't been going overboard either.

Just cast your eyes over the wondrous skein of yarn goodness that is there before your eyes. Isn't it beautiful. The colour is so deep and delicious with just a few hints here and there to keep the interest (not that it needs holding onto with a skein this lovely). It was sent to me all the way across the pond by the very kind Pam. It's Briar Rose Fibres ''stella' and destined to become something warm and snuggly around my neck.

In between my manic days at work, I have managed to complete a pretty mindless little cardigan for Baby Batman, when he/she arrives. I've used Rowan 'wool cotton' and the pattern is Erica Knight's 'Garter Stitch Cardi'. It's made all in one piece (except the borders) and is super quick and easy. I love the styling of it!

The stitches for the borders pick up very easily and evenly.

I love the contrast buttons!

I also have a little bit of Santa knitting on the go as well, although I've not as far as I had hoped. I'll still show you. I can be pretty certain that the finished Santa and maybe one or two friends will be finished to show next week. Here he is so far...

He's just awaiting a needle and thread and a couple of eyes! He's going to have wait though, as we are now off out to meet friends for a couple of pints and a quiz at our local pub!

Such loveliness I don't know where to begin.
The little cardi is so sweet.
And the shade of lavender yarn is beautiful.
Have a great week and soon it shall be holidays again.

Such a sweet cardigan. I love those tiny knits but I never seem to get round to making much in the first sizes. I tend to wait to see whether the baby is a boy or girl then by the time I get round to making something the child is about ready for school. Hope you find more knitting time this week.

I love that cardigan. I have a similar pattern that I knit occasionally. I'm interested that you used Rowan wool cotton as I am just about to knit a top for myself with this yarn as it has so many good reviews.
