THAT TIME AGAIN......

Hello there. It's astonishing how quickly these Sunday afternoons come around. The week seems to have vanished in the wink of an eye, with a blur of lesson observations, Sport Relief activities and a never-ending supply of marking.

I've picked up the needles for a few rows a couple of times this week, but most of the back on this little jumper was completed on Friday and Saturday evenings. I'm using Rowan 'Baby Merino Silk', which is really soft and knits up beautifully.

The pattern is from my favourite baby knits book. Hopefully, I'll have enough yarn to make the little hat on the front cover as well.

I'm just making the little jumper and leaving off the pocket this time. I really like the sweet little roll neck, bottom and cuff edges and the button opening flap. The pattern works really well. I've already made it in blue, using cotton.

However, I'm not such a fan of working with cotton as the seaming never seems to work as neatly. I've made the hat once before as well. Here it is, again, in cotton.

Hopefully there will some finished projects by this time next week, as they are both for little Evie. It's only two weeks until the Easter holidays, when we shall be travelling up to Dolby Forest for a 'cottage week', before heading to Manchester to catch up with up with our family.

Thought I'd leave you with the glorious sight of the Magnolia tree just bursting into flower! I love Spring!

Springlike here too but bitterly cold out of the sun, so keep producing those cosy little knits we don't want Evie feeling the chill.

Love the knitting pictures, but for this week the magnolia just takes the crown. It is glorious.

Happy Spring to you & yours, Ros! LOVE, love, love all those sweet little clothes...*swoon*... And LOVE that purple yarn--wow! Spring is slow arriving here--but at least it's here. And this week I launch my very last jewelry sale with items inspired by spring. I'm "retiring" from jewelry-making after many years. :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

Beautiful Spring colour! I love the little hat too, and the magnolia, of which I'm jealous! Still very cold in Michigan!

PS. Thanks for the Xmas card love!
