ANOTHER PAIR OF ............

I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with myself: another pair of socks have been completed. These are Coop Knit's 'Dave Socks' again. I think the therapeutic effect of soft colours and gorgeous stripes must have spurred me on. The second sock was worked on whilst journeying to Manchester and back this half-termm. There's nothing like a good long car journey to speed a project along.

There's also been some wool-winding going. This is gorgeous HazelKnits 'Artisan Sock'. It has to be my favourite sock yarn, as it knits up springy and thick. Just perfect for cosy toes!

Wound.......

.......... and all ready to go!

........ and some progress! The yarn hasn't really changed colour, by the way ;-)

Today is Mr Snoops' 61st Birthday and the younger Miss Snoops has come home for the weekend. We have been for a very windswept walk at Holkham today; very, very windy! I did manage some progress on my Debbie Bliss Guernsey; a little bit of extreme knitting, I'd say!

Oscar had a fabulous time.

It seems no time since I was arriving home from school two Friday's ago, worn out but relieved that the half-term had just begun. Now here we are on the eve of the new half-term beginning and already there seems like an insurmountable mountain of work to get through. It always seems to work out though! Have a good week everyone.

Hi Ros,
Sounds like you had a good half term. Happy birthday to Mr S!
After making about ten Christmas balls I have finally started on the socks. I cast on last night with some acrylic yarn but it felt so horrible to knit with that I went tonight to get some wool. Crocheting with most yarns is fine but I changed from acrylic to wool for the balls and it is so much nicer to use and knits better. I got the only wool yarn hobbycraft had to offer and have done six rounds of the cuff so far. I will be fine with the cuff and leg and then I will have to do some more internet research on what all the terms mean and how to do the rest of it! I am quite excited about my first sock. Thanks for the pattern and I will let you know how I get on!

Amazing how that purple yarn looks a different colour in each photo.
Hope your week back after your break was ok.
