A DREAM IS ABOUT TO COME TRUE................

Good evening to you. I hope you've all had a good weekend. I've had just the best ever! But let me show you my knitting  progress before I fill you in....... well, give you a clue, if nothing else!

My Ripple is coming along beautifully. I love the colours and the yarn and I'm sooo pleased I made a quick decision to change to the Rowan pure wool DK (well, most of it is!). Here it is so far....

What do you think.........?

I'm loving it!!!!!!

I've also started the 'Olivia' hat that I showed you a couple of posts ago. Here it is so far...

During the week, I received a really great parcel from across the 'pond'. It was a CD from Kate, The Garden Bell. I had won a prize in her give away. It has music onboard that brings back sooo many memories. I LOVE it! Thank you Kate, you're so kind.

Just thought I'd show you a pick of the 'unwrap'!!!

We've had some really strange weather here in the UK this week. Take a look at these pics and you'll see what I mean ....

These shots were taken when I arrived home from school on Wednesday evening. I was 'chasing sunsets' at the same  time as Sarah over at 'Circles of Rain', although I didn't really have to chase mine; I just opened the kitchen door!!

By Friday this was the scene ....

It's remained snowy all weekend here in Norfolk. Luckily though, the main roads were clear, because Mr Snoopydog and I had a very special mission this morning. We drove back via the North Norfolk coast and I snapped this view through the car window....

I don't have time to tell you about 'the special mission' tonight, but I promise to tell you all about it on Wednesday evening. I am so, so, so, excited! I can't settle to anything. My teaching is being observed on Tuesday and the very mention of 'lesson observation' normally throws me into a complete state of panic and insomnia for weeks beforehand. This time though, I've barely given it a thought, because there is something soooooo lovely and so long-awaited about to happen, that my 'perfectionist teacher' avitar has gone into retreat!!!!!! HOORAY!!!!

I'll leave with you a little taster....... I can't really call it a clue, because I think you'll guess!

You might have guessed, but you haven't seen him. You just wait............

See you on Wednesday. Have a good week!

You are right the weather has been weird. It is freezing tonight. I love the way the ripple blanket is coming along. Good luck on Tuesday-even though you won't need it!

A new puppy! Lucky you.
I know what you mean about the weather - I am in Suffolk so guess yours has been similar to ours!
Red skies at night and in the morning - poor shepherds must be confused!

I'm excited about the puppy too but a bit worried he might take a fancy to the lovely blanket, or any other of your yarn items. Maybe that's why you have the training reference books.

OHHHH A new puppy!!! I can't wait to see photos, you must take loads for all us jealous and broody puppy-lovers! A Lab as well - I grew up with labs and still have them, though sadly not here in our flat. No wonder you're so excited!

I do also love your ripple, and our weather was the same - beautiful, beautiful sunsets over the city, and then a white morning! :) It was so crispy and lovely! I honestly don't know how you can concentrate with a puppy coming along - I love the way they smell and their cute, squidgy little pudding bellies.... awww can you tell I'm green with puppy-envy! :)

Glad to see my little music made it clear across the pond. Enjoy.

Now about that ripple.... Love your fresh palette of colors. That yummie grape purplie charm is delish.

I can't believe the color of that sky. I want a big ball of yarn that color......

Keep us posted with WIP on your ripple...

Me again!

Best of luck with the blanket and Conratulations on expecting a little grandgirl. I have a gorgeous little grandson (stanley) who'll be a year old in march, love him to bits.

I also bought little Stanley a couple of Vanessa's lovely books. Am looking after them until he gets a bit bigger.
