NEW YEAR'S DAY.....

What a spectacular display in London last night, to welcome in 2012! A full twenty minutes of brilliance. I do so love fireworks. No, I wasn't there. I photographed the TV...ha, ha, ha! Some great effects captured though.

Today, Mr Snoops and I took Oscar for a walk by the sea. We drove up to Wells-next-the-Sea, about a forty minute drive from home. It was lovely to blow all the cobwebs away! We walked and walked and walked.

After a bowl of soup and a hot chocolate for lunch we drove on around the coast and home. It was  a lovely, peaceful end to the holidays.

I love Wells and a fab place for a New Years Day walk! Did you see the seals on the beach?

Shame you didn't pop in to Cromer on the way back for the 5pm fireworks off the pier they are usually amazing and we were sad not to be there this year.

Happy New Year to you all, Sx

What a nice way to welcome the new year with your walk. We do the same. :o) Great to be back after two weeks away at Christmas and catch up with you here. Wishing you all the very best in 2012! We're not fond of fireworks so we definitely would have hit the mute button on the TV!

What a lovely way to end the holidays. I'd like to live a little closer to the coast so that we could visit more often.

I love that walk.Did you go as far as the beach? If you did and you turn left and walk along the sand past the beach huts, you eventually get to Holkham beach...the best beach in the world...to me anyway! I saw the fireworks on the TV too,but briefly,as OH was watching Jools Holland. :0)

New Years Day is for walking! We have made it a ritual the last several years as well.
You've picked a most beautiful place to start the year.

We sat and watched the fireworks on TV too, and I took photos of it as well!
And we had a beach walk to blow away the cobwebs after New Year!
Hope it's a good one for you.

Great photos-and all from the cmfort of your own home. I love the name Wells Next The Sea-so archaic sounding. I have been there and seem to remember I liked it. Have you been to Burton Overy Staithe? Another strange name-great swimming and quiet but a long way from a loo!
Happy new year to you and your family Ros!
