TIME IS RUNNING OUT.......

Good afternoon! It's been an absolutely gorgeous day here in the east of England. The sun has shone ALL day long and the Spring flowers are bursting into bloom. I made an early decision to settle down in the garden for a few hours and make the most of it.

I've been on a mission and a half all week week, as I have realised that time is fast running out, if I am to have a stole ready for my daughter's wedding. She marries on April 6th! So, you see, there is not much time. Laceweight takes forever to grow, especially when it's patterned on both right and wrong sides. I have made a massive effort to do at least a little bit every evening, in the vain hope that it will get done in time. I have to say, I'm not even halfway yet.

Lace knitting never seems to give me a very pleasurable 'feel good' experience, until it is blocked and then....WOW! I guess that's the addictive bit about lace knitting. With socks it's different; I get a rush of 'feel good' just as soon as the pattern begins to emege.

I have to say, I think this will be lovely when finished and blocked, as the pattern is rather pretty when I stretch the fabric out.

Fingers crossed that those little elves come out to help every night this week and then there may some slim chance of it being finished in time. I haven't given up hope just yet, but I will feel really sad if I don't make it!

I must show a scrummy skein that I couldn't resist last Sunday evening in the Posh Yarns 7p.m yarn rush.

It's beautiful Posh Audrey 2ply, 60% silk and 40% cashmere. It's gooorgeous!!

With a last little flourish of 'tete-a-tete' daffs, I'll say goodbye, as the younger Miss Snoops has just arrived home from a week's ski-ing and is excitedly 'talking for England'. I guess that means she had a fabulous time!!!

Have a great week everyone!

Keep at it and I'm sure you'll get it finished in time! Mine is growing slowly, but not fast enough for my liking. I'm hoping to have something blogworthy to show next week! Your Posh purchase looks rather nice!

Oh you're scaring me now! I hate that feeling of panic that I may have left something that bit too late! I am sure you will do it though. Just knit faster!

That shawl will be beautiful and done on time... there's nothing quite like a Mother's determination.
I love the pale pink hyacinths... my favourite colour.
Have a great week.

You're ahead of us in the spring flowers, I'm still relying on my crocuses for colour!

Fingers crossed that you can find lots of knitting time in the next couple of weeks!!

Oh, the blue stole is shaping up so lovely, Ros... that blue is scrumptious! And such pretty new yarn too... that silvery blue is so elegant. BEAUTIFUL spring blooms. Our crocuses are finally emerging after their winter sleep--very exciting to have a hint of spring at last! :o) Happy Week ((HUGS))
