SOMETHING SPECIAL .............

Hello there! What a weeek this last one has been. My feet haven't touched the ground, my needles haven't been out and I am feeling rather out of control of the amount of work that I still need to do, just to be NEARLY up to date. On top of this little lot, we bought new computers last weekend, as our main desktop was over eight years and failing fast and my trusty, beloved four or five year old laptop has been behaving very badly. We had already booked a broadband update with our provider, so it seemed a good time to go for it. The snag has been that we have moved to Apple and consequently I am having to learn slightly different ways of doing things. There have been e-mail accounts to transfer (still not working correctly), thousands of photos to safely collect and store on our hard drive and an enormous collection of documents and data that needed sorting and saving.

However..................... I did want to show you a pretty collection of new yarn that arrived last week. It's not my usual 'posh' yarn, but this washable, lightweight and beautifully coloured yarn has a very special job to do. It will become a beautiful crocheted bed blanket for our darling Sophie's little baby brother or sister, who is due to arrive next March! How excited is this grandma? VERY!

Do you remember the ripple blanket I made for Sophie? Here it is....

Can't wait to get started, I just need some time!

Congratulations, it's so exciting when the family is growing. Love the blanket, I'd like to have a go at a ripple. I've used Stylecraft Special DK for my crochet blankets. It comes in some lovely colours and is so nice to crochet with.
