NO END OF ENDS!

Well hello! So sorry to have missed you last week, but the start of term was unbelievably busy and I was totally snowed under with 'must do' jobs! I'm still feeling rather out of my depth with the amount I still have to get done, but at least I have found time to pop in this evening. That must mean things are slowly getting sorted and organised. It didn't help that my classroom was decorated over the summer holidays, with the job due to be finished before the last holiday week, so that staff could get into school and sort out their rooms before the start of term. However, the painters were STILL in as school resumed, so trying to put furniture back and get display boards backed etc. was pretty difficult.

Needless to say, knitting and crafty stuff has taken a backseat, although I have just managed to complete Baby Batman's blanket. I love it! I'm sorry the photos are so gloomy, but I left the photographic job until rather late this afternoon, by which time it was pouring with rain and very dark. Never mind, at least you can get the overall look of the finished project. I'll try to post a much brighter picture next weekend and hopefully then the ends will all be sewn in. Hmm, ends! Not a fan of sewing in ends! I'll need some other fun project ready to go to motivate me. Guess what......... here it is!

Yep, I know, I've shown you this already but needless to say, I'm still on the starting line. Hopefully there'll be some progress over the week. It looks pretty tricky with plenty of nupps to test my patience, but the pattern is beautiful and the Fyberspates yarn scrummy.

While I've been busy with lesson planning this afternoon, Mr Snoops has been busy making tomato and ginger chutney. As always, we suddenly have more tomatoes ripening in the greenhouse than we could ever hope to use. It smells delicious!

Wishing you all a fun-filled and woolly week!

I love the colours in the blanket Ros.
The chutney looks delish.
I've got tomatoes up to my neck too and though I'm most grateful I'm running out of jars to put them up in. I even made orange, tomato marmalade this year.
Have a good week.

I do love that blanket. It's knitted in seed stitch, right?

Our tomatoes lost the war with the deer. After the fire in the hills behind our home, the deer are starving. They've decided my back garden makes good eating--even the tomato plants. Fortunately we still have a bit of frozen tomato sauce left from last year's bounty.

Hi Ros! I was thinking where you are. I hope you get the glass room fixed soon - and the ends of this beautiful stripy blanket! Your new project looks lovely and light.
We had also very tomatoes and put lots of them in freezer for cooking (few posts earlier). It's getting cooler her and I enjoy that! x Teje

Oh, that chutney looks good! This week I'm hoping to use our plums for some spiced plum chutney...YUM! LOVE your knitting... But all those ends... YIKES! I think that's why I'm loving crochet even more--you can more easily work in ends as you go! Happy Days, Ros P.S. From this week I’ll be taking an extended digital sabbatical due to health reasons. But I hope to be around when I can. :o)
