Well, I spent my Mother's Day morning in the garden, seaming and finishing off this cute little silk and merino sweater for Evie. With a little bit of extra knitting time as we travelled up to the coast for the day yesterday, I could se the end was in sight. Thanks Mr Snoops for taking the driving seat so as I could knit..... as usual. Love you! This has to be one of my favourite patterns, both for its simplicity and the 'cool' look that the roll sleeves and neck give to the design. It just works!
I've had these little painted wood buttons in my stash for sometime and they just finish the whole thing off beautifully! Hmm, just spotted one of Oscar's hairs!!!
Here's the back view. Such an easy but satisfying knit! Love it!
It's been a lovely weekend here in Norfolk, with sun, blue skies and warmth, although not all at the same time. That would be asking for a little too much! We ventured up to our favourite beach spot at Holkham yesterday, to let Oscar blow a few cobwebs away on the beach. He loves the freedom of miles and miles of sand and sea.
He spent this morning relaxing in the garden, collecting sticks, flowerpots and anything else that took his fancy. You an see his collection on the path. Love him to bits!
Whilst I spent the morning relaxing and enjoying flowers and phone calls from my lovely children. The above vase full arrived from my son and daughter in Manchester and those below from youngest daughter, who is working in Singapore for six months. Love them all so much!
Must dash now! Pub, beer, friends and quiz to get to! Have a good week!

I too love those rolled edges sweaters, they are so cute on little ones. My son had one and I plan on making another one for a friend's little guy. Gorgeous colour choice on yours!
