FEELING EMPOWERED ;-)

Well today was supposed to be filled with productive school report writing, but as soon as I drew back the curtains and saw the clear blue sky, I knew that it was not going to happen. How right I was!

This morning we went to the lake.....

.... and this afternoon, well a good book entertained me for rather longer than I hoped. Not a stitch of knitting took place. Yes, it's a very good book,  'The Goldfinch' by Donna Tartt. I've enjoyed her previous two and this one certainly isn't disappointing. Nothing like, sun, fresh air and a good book (or knitting).

So yes, I'm feeling empowered ;-)

Right, let's get on and at least be able to say that I have made a start on those annoying little files, labelled 'Reports 2014'.

Good luck!! I've done all the front pages of mine, still plenty to be getting on with though! Too many distractions!! Have a good week! xx

As long as you enjoyed yourself, which I can tell by the photo that Oscar did, why not.
The knitting will get done and the school work will still be there tomorrow...

But that sounds like the perfect Sunday. I have that book on my list too (my boarding school gets a mention at one point :-)). Have a lovely week.

Ha-Reports ruin June! I have not started mine still-although I asked a number of times for confirmation of what format we are using I have had not confirmation so could not do them! I did lots of other work yesterday anyway and then some preparation stuff today. The next book on my to read list is The Goldfinch. Glad you are enjoying it. Have a good week too!

I had a weekend planned of crafting and playing but I ended up weeding, washing, ironing and watching Dirty Dancing! Your weekend looks so much better! xxx

Its an awful job so best to just put your head down and get it done ! Your weather looks lovely , don't blame you from wanting to be out and about.

What a relaxing day for you and Oscar!

Yes, reports are annoying. I hope they will be mostly painless this week.
Your visit to the lake and then a relaxing rest with a book is a wonderful way to avoid those reports.

What a happy pup! So glad to see you're doing well and enjoying all that nice weather. I loved The Goldfinch--was sad when I finished.

A beautiful day - and a book to add to my list.

(June here is proving rather trying in our schools - job action has been happening for three weeks and the teachers just voted for full strike action. There may be no big end to school, just a quiet fizzle at the end of this week or next.)
