SOCK LOVE....

Well, it's been a busy half-term, with several days spent with two of our children and their families in Manchester. It was Sophie's fourth birthday; where does the time go! Since our return, I've been very busy doing anything that I can think of to avoid writing school reports. Guess what..... I've succeeded!

I just love these London Gap socks. The colours are all those of the London Underground lines. Clever! They make very addictive knitting, as there's always the 'just one more stripe' fairy whispering in my ear. It works though, as these were a breeze to knit and I'm so happy with the finished result.

Nothing so satisfying as grafting a toe and hey presto, the item is complete. Love it!

Such a clever pattern, as it ensures that no purl stitches are ever two coloured, so the colour changes are neat and single coloured.

I have three more skeins of Trailing Clouds lovely stripy yarn in my stash, so I may well need to cast on another pair very soon. The first is another skein of Mind the Gap.

This next beauty is in the 'Lipstick, Powder and Paint' colour way...

....... and lastly this really pretty skein in 'primary/secondary' colour way. I LOVE them all!

I've also managed to get going again on my 'Movie Night Socks' by Anne Hanson.

Sunshine, garden, kindle and knitting...... the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon and to ensure the 'no report writing' regime continues!

Think I'm going to have a busy week........ report writing! ;-)

Those socks are just amazing. What is the pattern? And where might I get the yarn? Good luck with the reports.

Delicious socks, the pattern really is clever and so effective. Sorry you're having to work, think of it as earning more yarn money, hope its tolerable.

I adore those London Gap socks! So very clever!
In fact, ALL those yarns are begging to be knit into socks. I know what you will be doing this summer.

I love those socks! I wonder if that yarn would work in crochet so well. All the colours you have got are nice-I think I like the primary colours the best. I wrote no reports either and still have not. Oh dear!

Ooh a sock post, right up my street, and much better use of your time than report writing! I love the striped socks and that clever pattern, the blue ones are really pretty too.
