Well, it's been a truly spectacular weekend here in the Snoopydog household, with a long awaited trip to the Latitude Festival. We had a really great time with our youngest daughter, her partner and one of her friends. The weather was just perfect, the company wonderful and the entertainment amazing.
It's so much more than just a music festivals, with dance, drama, poetry, literature, movies, comedy and cabaret. It's set on the beautiful Henham Estate, just over the border in Suffolk and has a wealth of entertainment for the whole family. We packed in as much as we could and discovered new bands with new music to enjoy.
Pink, green and blue sheep; no need to dye your yarn!
The beautiful Waterfront setting for Rambert's 'Rooster'.
Comedy fun.
The 'Obelisk' main stage where we listened to 'Badly Drawn Boy' (loved!), Laura Marling (just okay), Lianne da Havas (amazing), James Blake (take him or leave him) and Portishead (okay).
Michael Rosen was superb! His eye on education and childhood doesn't miss a trick. I felt immensely lucky to spend an hour in his company.
We had such a good time right into the latest hours of the night.
Followed by a wonderful trip to the coast on Sunday....
.... Holkham and Wells!
A really fabulous weekend!
