I'M BACK!

I'm back from a really lovely two weeks in North Yorkshire. Apart from the 'travelling there' day and the 'travelling home ' day, we had really good weather too, so plenty of time on the beach. I'll post some holiday pics later in the week. This is where we were this morning.

Today, saw another glorious morning here in Norfolk and we made the most of our local area with a walk around the lake. This has to be Oscar's favourite place (apart from the seaside, of course) and after a two week break he was eager to have some homegrown fun!

It's looking to be a good year for blackberries, with hundreds almost ready to be turned into scrummy blackberry and apple pies. There are many, many bushes full around the lake. We just need to remember a bag to put some in.

My knitting output has been poor, but I have managed a couple of pairs of baby socks which are a special gift!

They are quick and easy, using 'My First Regia' sock yarn and 2.5mm needles. Nice toasty baby toes!

I'm really hoping that this week will see a return to dedicated knitting time. The hols are rapidly slipping away and so I intend to make the most of the time left to get one or two projects finished that have been hanging around for too long. I have a cotton hooded card/jacket for little Evie to complete, along with two pairs of socks (one for Mr Snoops and one for me) and a pretty scarf using a skein of LAST year's Fibre East haul!

So, I'd better go and get a move on. Pop back later in the week so a few shots from our family time in Yorkshire.

Snap! I've just returned after a long weekend in West Yorkshire. The scenery was definitely photogenic. I'm glad you had a great time.
