HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter to you! It's been very relaxing here, with coastal walks, yummy food, mooches around our fine city and the excellent company of our younger daughter and her partner. There's even been time for some knitting, woohoo!

As you can see, the Easter Bunny left some egg samples for us, which look rather lovely in their little wire bowl. In fact, they might look too lovely to eat!

With more evening time this week and the start of the much needed Easter hols, I've managed to shoot these little beauties off the needles. I just love the randomly sized stripes and the colour combo makes my little heart sing! They have been the perfect travel companion on visit to London and the seaside and now they are ready to take their place in the sock drawer, alongside their fellow sock pairs!

I really like Rachel Coopey's simple plain sock pattern, 'Dave', with it's thick heel and not too pointy toe. It's just right!

We are off up to Yorkshire at the end of the coming week and looking forward to some Evie time! I'll need to sort out another pair of 'Dave's to be my travelling companion, as well as some baby knitting for Evie's soon to arrive little brother or sister. Can't wait!
