CHRISTMAS IS IN THE AIR.....

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! I do just love, love, love that first spell of snow of the winter. We travelled across the county to take Oscar for his hydrothrapy on Saturday, which s when I snapped the photo above. Once back home agian, I have hibernated for the rest of the weekend. Very relaxing! I've pottered and crafted and re-planned all my schoolwork for the coming week. Yes, I did say RE-PLANNED!! I was running late, as usual, and left my laptop running with my memory stick still in the drive while we took Oscar. On my return, my coming week's plans and most of those dating back to the beginning of term had mysteriously disappeared. I have no idea what happened, but it is very, very annoying, to say the least. I have searched my laptop and they are nowhere to be found. Silly Snoops that I am, I had not backed them up. I do usually, but do it periodically. Lesson to be learnt there!

Anyways, I left school a 'happy  bunny' on Friday, looking forward to the weekend and the forecast of more snow. I left my bright little 'term time' home neat and tidy. Would you like a look at where I spend my days?

It's usually messy, noisy and busy!

On Saturday morning we opened the curtains to .......

The sky brightened cnsiderably, as we travelled across country.

I decided to get some sewing jobs done today. I had two very special items to make. I had bought the small pieces of felt several weeks ago, but not found the time to get started. Guess what I made.........

Two very special Christmas stockings, for the two new members of the Snoops clan! Now I just need some little presents to put in them. I think Oscar was rather impressed.

I'm afraid I have no knitting to show you this week. It's not that I haven't picked the needles up, I have. It's just that I have several projects on the go, that I would really like to finish before Christmas. Rather than put a concerted effort into one, I have hopped and skipped about all over the place this week, knitting a 'little bit of this' and a 'little bit of that', but not a sizeable chunk of anything!!!! Never mind, there's always next week. See you then.

Oh I love your classroom ... so bright and cheerful! I recognise some of your posters ...
Those photos of the snow and blue sky are beautiful. We had snow but the sky has stayed a murky grey.
I'm sure Oscar will enjoy his stocking when it's full of good things to eat!
Have a good week,
Love Kathy xxx

Thank you for sharing the pictures of your classroom, how wonderfully bright and cheerful!

The stockings are lovely. My DH and I still have the stockings I made us when we left home 19 years ago.

Snow! So pretty. We still have a few piles left from our first snow fall last week. Certainly feels like winter around here!

Wow, your classroom is amazing. You have so much colour in your life, at home and work, which can only be a good thing. I'm delighted S and O both have their little stockings ready, what an organised family.

Your classroom is so cheery and happy. I want to be your student!

Those stockings are so sweet, too.

Recently, I've been all over the knitting map too. What is it about pre-Christmas time??

Hello Oscar and Ros,
What a bright, happy and creative class-room. Mummy says she loves your everyday place more than she does hers!

We love those snow pictures. We don't get snow here and if we want to play in the snow, we need to go to Kashmir. it isn't very far from Delhi, Daddy's home city.
But sadly, horrible people are doing terrible things in Kashmir and are spoiling a beautiful place.

We always feel very sad when we see snow elsewhere....

Hope Oscar's hydrotherapy is working and he is feeling much stronger.

Well of course I love the snow pictures. They are sooo pretty.
I also love your classroom photos - not too different from ours really and very bright and cheerful. Thought I might do a post about what Queensland schools look like one day. They are a bit different to the schools we have seen in France and England.
Cheers

How annoying that your work disappeared! Computers are the bain of my life in a work context. I am constantly backing stuff up and I often print planning straight away even if not finished as I am paranoid about losing it! Sorry to hear you had no snow days-I was amazed we did-our head does like to stay open. The snow was pretty thick though.
I loved seeing your classroom-it looks lovely!

The stockings are very sweet!
Have a lovely weekend!
