SMALL THINGS....

Hello there! Sorry I missed you at the weekend. We had a house full of fun going on with all of our family home for the weekend. I've now had time to catch my breath and drop in to say hello. There's not been much knitting happening, but I have managed to rustle up these cute little 13" baby doll cardis for Sophie's 'my baby'. She just adores this little doll! The pattern is  Little Kina. It's a free Ravelry download and just a perfect little pattern, knit all in one piece from the top down.

The pattern is for the short version.

For the longer sleeves I knit sixteen rows of stocking stitch, decreasing one stitch at the end of each row on the 4th, 8th and 12th rows. They look fine!

I could easily become addicted to knitting these tiny, cute things. They are perfect for using up all sorts of yarny oddments.

Need to get a move on with the little 'new grandchild' cardi now. Hope to show you that next time! Oh,  by the way, Sophie is going to have a little sister! That means lots more dolly knitting for Grandma Snoops ;-). See you soon!

Love the little cardies.Another good idea for using up scraps is making Jean Greenhowe's cakes and sandwiches!!Sophie would love them.my grandchildren have had hours of fun with the knitted cakes etc doing paries and picnics etc AND they are very quick to do.They are free patterns.
