ABSENCE MAKES.........

Well, they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I'm not so sure how true that is, but I have missed being here to share the many little moments in the life of Snoops. It's been a busy time over the last couple of weeks, as there is a huge amount of end of year paperwork to be completed at school as well as end of placement assessments to be written and collated for the student teacher who has been working in my classroom over the last few weeks.

Factor into the mix  a couple of very busy weekends and you can see why I have not been around.

The weekend before last, little Evie came to play for the weekend, with her Mum and Dad too, of course. She is the cutest little 'garden gnome' ever and the most helpful!

This weekend found me in Islington, London, visiting the younger Miss Snoops. She is desperate to buy her first property, but finding the perfect pad in London is not too easy. So, after pulling out of one after a poor structural survey, she is back on the hunt. We went along to view a beautiful two bedroomed flat in a converted Victorian house and an offer was duly made. Fingers crossed!

I was a very spoilt Snoops, as I was told to come expecting to take part in a pre-birthday 'activity': it's my birthday next Sunday! To my utter delight I found myself at the door of the Queen's Theatre, being quickly ushered into our seats just in time for the curtain to go up on a stunning performance of 'Les Miserables'. It was just completely fantastic! I've longed to see this show live for many a year. With a scrummy Sunday lunch, a stroll along Upper Street and afternoon refreshments in Camden Passage thrown in, I felt beautifully relaxed.

We had some lovely 'mum and daughter' time. It's so good to get away for the weekend every now and then, as it always makes the weekend seem so much longer. Sadly, knitting didn't get a look in!!

Your photos make up for the absence, little Evie is just gorgeous. And what a lovely way to spend your time in London! Have a good pre-birthday week! Anna

Hello again, I've missed your Sunday posts.
Just the sound of your last few weeks at school make me realise how little I miss the job.
Evie is so sweet. How did she get to be such a big girl? My daughter is in the process of house hunting in Newcastle (much less expensive) but still tricky. I hope it all goes well.
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Les Mis. I'll be honest I hated it, but I'm sure I'm in the minority.
Hope the last few weeks in school are less stressful.
